- Coarse Salt. A little bit of coarse salt will add a delicious crunch and
- Sauce. Use your favorite dipping sauces for these pretzels to make the perfect snack for your occasion. I've used mustard and cheese sauce for a savory snack here!
How to Make Air Fryer Frozen Soft Pretzels
- Preheat the air fryer to 330 degrees F for up to 5 minutes.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or spray it with cooking spray.
- Place 1 to 4 frozen pretzels in the air fryer in a single layer, with some space in between each one. It's important not to stack them on top of each other; otherwise, they will stick together.
- Using a pastry brush, brush water on the frozen pretzels, and sprinkle the tops of the pretzels with coarse salt on the moistened edges of the pretzel. The water will help the salt stick to the pretzels.

- Remove the hot pretzels with silicone tip tongs.
- Serve hot with cheese sauce, mustard, or ranch as desired!
FAQs
The best way to ensure you get crispy pretzels, preheat your Air Fryer properly and avoid overlapping pretzels in the basket. If they're still not crispy, you can increase the cooking time by 1-2 minutes.
It depends on the size of your air fryer basket. However, for best results, ensure pretzels are in a single layer and not stacked on top of each other.
Storage & Freezing
Storage: If you find yourself with leftover air fryer pretzels (though, let's be real, they're so delicious they probablt won't last long!), store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. When you're ready to enjoy them again, simply warm them in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to revive that crispy exterior and warm interior!
Freezing: As we're using frozen pretzels, try and heat up the amount of pretzels you need for your snack or occasion. They shouldn't be refrozen once heated up.
Substitutions & Variations
- Pretzel bites. Try chopping your frozen pretzels into small, bite-sized pieces and reducing the cook time to 1-2 minutes to enjoy air fryer pretzel bites!
- Egg wash or butter. You could try using an eggwash or melted butter instead of plain water to moisten the pretzels before air frying them for a richer flavor.
- Add more flavor. Sprinkle your pretzels with cinnamon sugar for a sweet treat, or top with garlic powder, shredded cheese, or cheese sauce for a more savory option. Try your favorite sweet and savory dips for all kinds of occasions!
- Try other sauces. Enjoy your pretzels with your favorite dipping sauce. Try Ranch Dip, Cowboy Dipping Sauce, Pumpkin Fluff Dip, or this Chocolate S'mores Dip!
Pro Tips
- Using homemade pretzels If you're using homemade soft pretzels, make sure they are frozen before following this method of cooking. The cooking time will be less if they are not frozen.
- Serveing pretzels. Pretzels are a great snack but they work well on a charcuterie board too, for a great sharing snack or dessert! Try my Halloween Charcuterie Board, Fruit Charcuterie Board, Trader Joe's Charcuterie Board, Easter Charcuterie Board, or my Dessert Charcuterie Board!
