Ingredients for Pretzel Treats
- Stick Pretzels

How to make Halloween Pretzel Treats
Line Baking Sheet with Parchment Paper
Melt Candy Wafers - Instant Pot
- Place 2 cups of water in Instant Pot / Pressure Cooker
- Add Wilton Candy Wafers in a large glass bowl and place on top of Instant Pot / Pressure Cooker creating a double boiler
- Press Saute. The heating element will heat the water to boiling and create steam. The steam will warm the glass bowl and melt the candy wafers
- Stir until smooth and press "Cancel". Glass bowl will be hot.
- Be careful to not allow any water inside the bowl or the candy wafers will seize and become chalky

Melt Candy Wafers - Microwave
- In a glass bowl place Wilton Candy Wafers and set to 30 seconds
- Remove bowl and stir well. Wafers will be warm but not melted
- Place back in microwave and set for 30 seconds more. Remove and Stir well.
- If additional time is needed place in Microwave for 15 seconds and stir until smooth.

- Pour Melted Candy Wafers into a squeeze bottle OR Zip-Loc Bag. Snip corner of Zip-Loc bag
- Place about a quarter size of melted candy wafer on parchment paper and place 18-24 Pretzel Sticks around forming a circle. The melted candy wafer will secure pretzels together.
- Then drizzle a spiral of white candy wafer on top of pretzels. Make sure you place a continuous line of candy coating to secure the pretzels together and hold the web in place.
- Finish by adding a quarter size dollop in the center and place Plastic Spider Ring in center
- Allow to cool before moving.

I have made 10-12 Halloween Pretzel Treats with 1 bag of Wilton Candy Wafers. It's important to remember that a continuous line of candy coating must be placed on pretzels to hold and secure in place. You family and friends will love these wonderful Spider Web Treats.
This recipe is simple enough to allow the kids to participate and help. Melting the candy wafers might be too hot or difficult for them. Children can help place pretzels and form the web. They will have so much fun creating these spooky spider webs.

Can I use White Chocolate Chips in place of Candy Wafer?
Yes of course you can. Please use a high quality white chocolate chip. Lower quality chips don't always melt well.
How long to Halloween Pretzel Treats last?
Once they have cooled you can carefully pick up and place in a zip-loc bag for storage. They will last a week to 10 days if not eaten sooner.
Can I freeze Pretzel Treats?
You can Freeze Pretzel Treats, however they become very brittle. It's best to keep them on a baking sheet.
