If you haven't tried Rolo Pretzel Turtles, you are missing out. Not only is this recipe super simple, it also will curb your appetite for something sweet too. If you enjoy something crunchy, sweet and chocolatey, that is.

Rolo Pretzel Turtles brings the flavors and textures that many of us crave when we grab a candy bar from the store, but these are more delicious and so easy to make.
Showing up to the next cookie exchange or gathering with a plate full of these Rolo Pretzel Turtles is one way to impress everyone. While the chocolate turtles are easy to make, not many people make them, meaning there’s a good chance your plate of sweets will be a unique contribution!
These chocolate turtles are so incredibly easy to make that your children can help to make them too. You can have the kids unwrap the Rolo candies, lay the unbroken pretzels neatly on a baking sheet, and place the candies on top.
If your child is old enough to understand safety and you feel comfortable with it, you can have them also place the pecans on top. Otherwise, that should be left to you as an adult to avoid burns.

Easy to make treats like this really help to get excited about being in the kitchen. No one enjoys slaving over a hot stove or recipes with 300 different steps. If you’d like to see other easy dessert ideas, you should check out my Easy Buckeye Recipe.
What's in Rolo Pretzel Turtles?
- Square Pretzel
- Rolos
- Pecan Halves

How to make Rolo Pretzel Turtles
- Place the pretzels on a baking sheet lined with Parchment Paper (it makes it easier to clean up!)
- Place 1 unwrapped Rolo on top of each pretzel.
- Bake at 350 Degrees for 2 - 3 minutes, be careful not to cook any longer than that.
- Remove the pan from the oven and then top each chocolate piece with a Pecan Half.
- Press down on the Pecan to secure it to the melted chocolate.
- Allow the pretzels to cool completely and then serve.
How to Store Chocolate Turtles?
After your chocolate turtles have completely cooled, you can keep them stored inside a Ziploc bag. With the pieces being fully set, there’s no risk of the chocolate melting together unless it’s in a really hot location, so try to find a cool place like the inside of your pantry.
How long with Chocolate Turtles last?
Chocolate turtles can last a really long time because each of the ingredients used has an already long shelf life. However, the older your turtle gets, the staler the pretzels may become. For the best results, I recommend eating within a few days.
Can you freeze chocolate turtles?
Yes, you can! If you don’t think you can eat these turtles fast enough and would like a long term storage solution, placing them in the freezer is a great option. I recommend freezing them flat on a baking sheet before transferring to an airtight bag to prevent them from freezing together into one giant turtle mob.
Can I microwave Rolo Pretzel Turtles?
You sure can! Microwave a few on a plate for 20-30 seconds. Remove and place pecan on top.
Fun Fact:
Did you know you can purchase Rolo's UNWRAPPED? You can and they are heaven sent. Look for them in the candy isle with other Rolo Candies.
