The Air Fryer method is the best way to cook Pillsbury Grand Canned Biscuits as it guarantees perfect biscuits for any occasion, from an easy breakfast on the weekend to speedy weeknight dinners.
You can achieve fluffy, warm biscuits with a delightful golden crust every single time by using your air fryer, regardless of your cooking skills.
Whether you own a conventional or oven-style air fryer, the process is straightforward and requires minimal effort—just place the biscuits in the air fryer basket, and you're good to go.
They take just over 5 minutes from start to finish without ever taking up valuable space in your oven, leaving you more time and space for other dishes and your guests!

Ingredients Needed for Air Fryer Pillsbury Biscuits
- Can of Pillsbury Grands Biscuits. These fluffy biscuits are the perfect size for air frying and turn out golden brown and crispy on the outside while remaining soft and tender on the inside.
How to Make Pillsbury Grand Biscuits in Air Fryer
- Preheat the Air Fryer for 5 minutes at 330 Degrees F. Remove the biscuits from the can.
- Carefully place 4 Biscuits into the preheated Air Fryer. I like to lay down a piece of air fryer parchment paper first to help with cleanup and keep the biscuits from sticking to the bottom of the basket.
- Bake for 3–4 minutes, or until the tops are a toasted golden brown color. Turn the biscuits over and bake for an additional 1-2 minutes to get the other side crispy as well.
- Carefully remove the Biscuits from the Air Fryer and serve warm with your choice of spreads and toppings.
FAQs
Yes, you can cook frozen biscuits in an air fryer. Just increase the cooking time by a few minutes to ensure they are cooked through, and leave them in the air fryer for a couple of minutes when they're finished, as they will continue cooking through to the middle with the residual heat in the air fryer.
You can use parchment paper to make the cleanup easier and stop the biscuits from sticking to the basket, but it's not required.
It's not always necessary but preheating the air fryer does help to cook the biscuits more evenly and yield the best results.
Of course, you can use any brand of canned biscuits that you like. The cook time may vary slightly from my instructions, so check on them every couple of minutes to make sure they don't burn.
Storage & Freezing
Storage: Leftover biscuits stored in an airtight container will stay fresh for a couple of days at room temperature, or up to a week when refrigerated. Reheat biscuits in the air fryer at 300 degrees F for a few minutes until they're warm and crispy, or zap them for 10–20 seconds in the microwave, depending on the power rating.
Freezing: Frozen biscuits can last for up to 3 months. Wrap each biscuit individually in plastic wrap and then place them in a freezer-safe bag or container. When you're ready to enjoy them, there's no need to thaw; just pop them straight into the air fryer and cook them for an extra few minutes until they're heated through.
Substitutions & Variations
- Different Biscuit Varieties. Any canned biscuit will do, including buttermilk, flaky, or Southern-style biscuits. Just be mindful of the size and cooking times, as they may vary from what I've provided here. For those looking for a healthier option, whole wheat or reduced-fat biscuits can be used, though they may alter the texture slightly.
- Optional Extras. You can add a personal touch with various toppings, like brushing them with melted butter or a cinnamon sugar mixture before or after air frying for extra flavor. If you're feeling adventurous, you can transform them into air fryer biscuit donuts or use them as a base for air fryer pizza rolls.
- Homemade Biscuit Dough. You can make your own biscuit dough instead of buying it from the store, which can be a fun way to experiment with different recipes and flavors, like Cheese Biscuits.
- Vegan and Gluten-Free Options. There are vegan and gluten-free canned biscuit options available from the store; just make sure to check the cooking instructions on the package, as they might differ from regular biscuits.
Pro Tips
- Each Air Fryer heats and air fries a little differently. Check on the biscuits after a few minutes of cooking time to make sure you do not overbake them.
- Serve the biscuits warm with Butter, Jam, Jelly, Preserves, Honey, Maple Syrup, or with my ultimate breakfast favorite: - Homemade Sausage Gravy and eggs! Grands Biscuits are also delicious as the bread in a small bite sandwich, so be as creative as you like with the fillings.
