    Ingredients Needed for Air-Fried Oreos

    • Double Stuffed Oreos - These provide a rich, creamy filling that pairs perfectly with the crescent roll dough. Regular Oreos can be used if Double Stuffed Oreos are not available.
    • Crescent Rolls Dough Sheets - Crescent roll dough wraps around the Oreos to create a crispy, golden-brown exterior. You can use regular crescent rolls if you prefer.
    • Powdered Sugar - For dusting the hot Oreos, adding a touch of sweetness and a professional finish.
    • Optional Extras - Peanut Butter, Cookie Butter, or Nutella adds an extra layer of flavor to each Oreo. Use about 1 tablespoon per cookie if desired.

How to Make Air Fryer Fried Oreos

    1. Start by opening one package of crescent roll sheets on a flat surface. Carefully stretch the dough to form a rectangular shape. Each package of crescent roll dough will make enough for 8 fried Oreo cookies. Use a knife to cut the dough into 8 equal squares by dividing it in half lengthwise and then cutting it into 4 equal portions in the opposite direction.

    FAQs

Can I use regular Oreos instead of Double Stuffed?

Yes, you can use regular Oreos if you prefer. The cooking time and process remain the same.

Do I need to use parchment paper?

Using parchment paper can help with easy clean-up and prevent sticking, but it's not mandatory.

Can I add other fillings besides peanut butter or Nutella?

Absolutely! You can experiment with different fillings like caramel sauce or even fruit jams.

    Storage & Make Ahead

Storage: To store your air-fried Oreos, place them in an airtight container once they have cooled to room temperature. They can be kept at room temperature for up to a week. For the best taste and texture, it’s recommended to consume them within 2-3 days.

Freezing: Air-Fried Oreos can be stored in a sealed container and frozen for up to 3 months. Place parchment paper between each cookie to prevent sticking.

Make Ahead: If you want to make a batch ahead of time, you can freeze the wrapped but uncooked Oreos. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and flash-freeze until solid. Once frozen, transfer the Oreos to a freezer-safe bag or container. They can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. To cook frozen air-fried Oreos, preheat your air fryer to 350°F. Place the frozen Oreos in the basket of the air fryer and cook for 7-8 minutes, flipping halfway through.

    Substitutions & Variations

    • You can use puff pastry dough or even biscuit dough as a substitute for crescent roll dough.
    • Try using different flavors of Oreos such as Golden Oreos, Peanut Butter Oreos, or Mint Oreos for a unique twist.
    • Instead of peanut butter or Nutella for Stuffed Fried Oreos, you can use caramel sauce, marshmallow fluff, or even fruit jams for added variety.
    • For a different finish, consider drizzling chocolate syrup or caramel sauce over the cooked Oreos instead of powdered sugar.

    Pro Tips

    • To ensure your air-fried Oreos cook evenly, make sure they are placed in a single layer in the air fryer basket with plenty of space between each one. This allows the hot air to circulate properly around each cookie.
    • Using parchment paper in the air fryer basket can help prevent sticking and make clean-up easier. Cut the parchment paper to fit the basket and place it underneath the Oreos before cooking.
    • For an extra burst of flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa powder to the powdered sugar before dusting the hot Oreos. This adds a subtle but delicious twist to the classic recipe.
    • Serve your air-fried Oreos with a glass of cold milk, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce for an indulgent treat. These combinations enhance the overall experience and make for a delightful dessert.
