Chances are high that you haven’t tried an Oreo Cream Cheese Balls before. Don’t worry, most people haven’t. Unfortunately, this means that many people are missing out on this dessert treat.
An Oreo Cream Cheese Ball is like an Oreo Truffle that’s large enough for the family to share. Of course, eating it yourself isn’t against the law either. 😉
If you love that irresistible flavors of cheesecake, and Oreo cookies, then you can guess at how wonderful this dessert cheese ball will be.
With the white chocolate chips studded around the outside, this Oreo Cream Cheese Ball looks as great as it tastes.
And it looks downright impressive. Seriously, pull it out at your next party and watch everyone’s jaws drop as they reach for a taste.
The hardest part about making this Dessert Cheese Ball is trying to figure out what to serve alongside it.
While I like it enough to eat it with a spoon, cookies are normally preferred.
Serve your Oreo Cream Cheese Ball with graham crackers, pretzels, or even more Oreos. Even some fresh apple sliced would taste incredible!
What’s In an Oreo Cream Cheese Ball?
- 1 pkg Oreos
- 8oz Cream Cheese
- 1 ½ cup White Chocolate Chips
How to Make a Dessert Cheese Ball
- In a food processor place your Oreo cookies. Process them until they’re blended into fine crumbs.
- Add in the softened cream cheese and then blend until smooth.
- Place the Mixture on some Parchment Paper or on plastic Wrap. Using your hands shape the mixture into a ball.
- Place it in the refrigerator for 1 hour to harden.
- Remove from the plastic or parchment paper. Press the ball into the White Chocolate Chips and round out into a ball.
- Serve with Cookies and pretzels, or whatever you want.
How to Store Oreo Cream Cheese Ball
Keep your oreo cream cheese ball wrapped in plastic wrap or stored in an airtight container until you’re ready to serve and eat.
How long does Oreo Cream Cheese Ball last?
You can expect your cream cheese ball to last up to a week in the fridge if properly stored. Of course, this means you’d have to resist eating it to get it to last that long!
Can I freeze a Cream Cheese Ball?
I highly recommend that you don’t. Cream cheese is not something that freezes and thaws well and will result in a gross mess. This cream cheese all does best when kept stored in the fridge.
How many will a Dessert Cream Cheese Ball Serve?
Realistically, this cheeseball could serve 8-10 people. However, it tastes so good that I’ll take two servings worth to myself.
If you plan on feeding a crowd, consider making a double batch or being strict about portion sizes.
