My boys love to help in the kitchen but often times their attention span is short. This quick and easy recipe is done in a snap.

    Valentine OREOs with heart sprinkles

With only 3 ingredients you can make these Valentine's Day OREOs by using Candy Wafter Melts in any color and a package of OREOs.

Then let those little ones pick out some holiday sprinkles and you can make and share Valentine OREOs for those you love.

    Pink Candy Wafer Melts

Where can you buy Candy Wafter Melts?

Candy Wafter Melts can be purchased at your Super Grocery Store during the holidays or they can be purchased at a party supply store or near the Wilton Supply Area of your Craft and Hobby Store.

    Instant Pot Melting Chocolate Directions

Using your Instant Pot as a double broiler makes melting wafer candy a breeze. Add 5-6 cups of water and set to Saute'.

Allow the water to heat up and the steam will melt the Candy Wafters placed in a bowl above the water. It's the easiest way I have found to melt chocolate without scorching it.

Can I use any Flavor of Oreo for Oreo Valentines?

YES! Why not! Go crazy and dip the new LOVE OREO cookies with Pink Filling. Or even try the Lemon OREOs.

Can I make Chocolate Dipped OREOs for Any Holiday?

Of Course! Buy any color Wafter Candy or Chocolate and melt and then Dip your OREO. It's fun to celebrate occasions of all kinds.

They will love the interaction and creativity of making their own fun Valentine's Day Candy Dipped OREO!

Remember that the steam is hot, so take the necessary precautions around little hands.

Once your Candy Wafters are melted you can turn the Instant Pot to Warm and the chocolate will stay melted and you won't have the abundance of steam.

    Quick Tip

When using your Instant Pot or Pressure Cooker as a double Broiler, be careful of the steam.

It can burn you. Once the wafter candy is melted you can turn your Instant Pot Off or to Warm and your wafers will remain melted for long enough to dip your cookies.

I made these for my wife on Valentine’s Day. She loved them but the funniest part is my daughter calls them Minnie cookies because they remind her of Minnie Mouse.

Hi Katie, For this recipe I used a pyrex glass bowl that is larger than the instant pot. Any glass bowl that is larger than the Instant Pot would work great!

Will these hold up being sent through the mail? As far a melting? Or do they need to be refrigerated.

This is a recipe that I really truly do need to try with my daughter. My hubby is OBSESSED with Oreos! When we get Oreos they disappear quickly. I know my hubby would be head over heels in love with the cookies from this recipe!
