When was the BLT Created?

It really is unsure when the Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato was created. However Good Housekeeping Everyday Cookbook back in 1903 had a club sandwich which included Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato with a bit of mayonnaise. It is unclear when people shortened the name to BLT.

What is traditionally on a BLT Sandwich?

BLT stands for Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato. Often times the bread is toasted and mayo is added for the perfect balance of flavors.
