BLT Pasta Salad is one of the BEST Pot Luck Pasta Salads. Who doesn't love the flavors of a traditional BLT, right?
So let's make it into a Pasta Salad and it's sure to be a crowd pleaser with it's yummy creamy sauce and bites of tomato, lettuce and bacon.

I love making simple salad recipes for side dishes to our main meals that add some extra flavor and bring life to dinner.
BLT Sandwiches are a favorite Saturday lunch, so I thought, why not make it into a pasta salad and enjoy more often!

Making BLT Pasta Salad is really easy. This recipe can of course be made on the stove top or my favorite the Instant Pot.


How to make BLT Salad
I start by washing my lettuce and tomatoes. Allow your romaine lettuce to drain off the excess water before tearing or slicing.
Stove Top Directions
- Cook noodles according to package directions
- Rinse and drain and allow to cool in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes
- Wash Lettuce and Cherry Tomatoes
- Slice Cherry Tomatoes in half
- Tear or slice romaine lettuce
- Crumble 6 slices of cooked bacon
- Add bacon, lettuce and tomato to a large bowl
- add cooled pasta
- Stir in Ranch Dressing over pasta and salad and stir
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve cold

Pressure Cooking Directions:
- Place noodles and Chicken Broth or water in Instant Pot
- Set to Manual (Pressure Cook) High for 3 minutes and allow a 3 minute natural release
- Drain pasta and rinse under cold water
- Place in refrigerator to cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Wash Lettuce and Cherry Tomatoes
- Slice Cherry Tomatoes in half
- Tear or slice romaine lettuce
- Crumble 6 slices of cooked bacon
- Add bacon, lettuce and tomato to a large bowl
add cooled pasta - Stir in Ranch Dressing over pasta and salad and stir
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve cold

When was the BLT Created?
It really is unsure when the Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato was created. However Good Housekeeping
Everyday Cookbook back in 1903 had a club sandwich which included Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato with a bit of mayonnaise. It is unclear when people shortened the name to BLT.
What is traditionally on a BLT Sandwich?

BTL Pasta Salad
Ingredients
- 8 oz Bowtie Pasta
- 3 Cups Chicken Broth or Water
- 12-15 Cherry Tomatoes
- 1 head Romaine Lettuce
- 6 Slices cooked bacon crumbled
- ½ to ¾ Cup Ranch Dressing
- ½ Cup Parmesan Cheese
- Optional Additions:
- ½ Sliced Avocado
Instructions
- Instant Pot/Pressure Cooker Directions:
