This easy Air Fryer Scrambled Eggs recipe is quick and easy to prepare - with just a few simple ingredients and minimal cooking time, you can have a delicious breakfast ready in no time!

The addition of heavy cream and cheese adds a rich, creamy texture that takes these scrambled eggs to the next level. And you can add your favorite ingredients like bell peppers, green onions, or fresh herbs as an easy way to make the dish your own.

Using the air fryer ensures that the eggs come out perfectly fluffy every time. The heat distribution of the air fryer cooks the eggs evenly, preventing them from becoming rubbery or overcooked.

Traditional stovetop cooking can often lead to a messy kitchen, but with the air fryer, cleanup is a breeze. The eggs cook in a single dish inside the air fryer, reducing the number of pots and pans you need to wash. This means less mess, less time cleaning up, and more time enjoying your meal!

    Storage & Freezing

Storage: If you have any leftover air fryer scrambled eggs, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for up to 3 days. Make sure to let the eggs cool completely before storing to avoid condensation inside the container, which can make the eggs watery. Reheat the scrambled eggs gently to avoid overcooking. Use a microwave on low power, stirring every 30 seconds, or reheat them in a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat, stirring frequently.

Freezing: To freeze the scrambled eggs, place them in a freezer-safe container or bag. They can be frozen for up to 1 month. When you’re ready to eat them, thaw the eggs in the refrigerator overnight and reheat them in the microwave or on the stovetop until warmed through.

    Substitutions & Variations

    • Substitute Heavy Cream with half-and-half, whole milk, or a non-dairy milk alternative like almond milk for a lighter version.
    • Try Monterey Jack, mozzarella, or a dairy-free cheese substitute for Sharp Cheddar Cheese if you prefer.
    • Use avocado oil spray, olive oil spray, or vegetable oil as alternatives to Non-stick Cooking Spray.
    • Dice Bell Peppers and add them to the egg mixture for a colorful and nutritious addition.
    • Chop a Green Onion and mix it in for a mild onion flavor.
    • Fresh Herbs such as basil, parsley, chives, or cilantro can add a fresh and aromatic touch to your scrambled eggs.

    Pro Tips

    • Using a flat-bottom dish ensures even cooking, as it allows the eggs to spread out evenly and cook uniformly.
    • Stirring the eggs halfway through the cooking process helps break up any large curds and ensures the eggs cook evenly. This step is crucial for achieving fluffy scrambled eggs.
    • Since air fryers can vary in cooking power, the cooking time can vary, so keep a close eye on the eggs during the final minutes of cooking. Check for doneness to avoid overcooking.
    • Allow the cheese to melt from the residual heat after cooking the eggs. This prevents the cheese from becoming too oily or overcooked, resulting in a creamy, cheesy topping.
