Let’s talk Circus Animal Sugar Cookies, aren’t they so cute? Adorable if you ask me and the best part is you get a soft and chewy sugar Funfetti cookie with a favorite Circus Animal on top. These cookies flew off the plate and into the hands, both young and old, at our last gathering. I wished I had made more.

Soft and Chewy Sugar Cookies are a dream come true. There is a trick to making the perfect cooking though and I’ve got the secret for you. The recipe calls for a combination of ingredients from white sugar to powdered sugar and butter to vegetable oil. You need them all to create this amazing soft cookie.
This cookie recipe is used for a number of my favorite cookies. Having a base cookie recipe is a must and with a few simple changes you have a completely different cookie each and every time.

Ingredients for Circus Animal Sugar Cookies
- ½ Cup Butter
- 1 Egg
- ½ Cup Sugar
- ½ Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- ½ tsp Cream of Tartar
- ¼ Cup Vegetable Oil
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
- 2 Cup Flour
- ½ Cup Funfetti Sprinkles
- About 24 Circus Animal Cookies
How to make Circus Animal Sugar Cookies
For most baking recipes it’s best to preheat your oven, and this recipe is no different. So go ahead and preheat to 350 degrees.

I prefer to use my Bosch Universal Stand Mixer when making cookies. It cleans up easily and mixes up perfectly every time. You can also use a hand mixer if you prefer and a large bowl. Make sure to see why I LOVE my Bosch Mixer.
Add softened butter and white sugar and cream for about 2 minutes until light and fluffy. Then mix in powdered sugar, cream of tartar, and baking soda and mixed until combined. Add the egg, oil, and vanilla and mix until smooth. You might need to scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add flour 1 cup at a time and make sure dough is all mixed together. Then stir in sprinkles.
Using a Medium Cookie Scoop, size #24, scoop cookie dough and place on large cookie sheet about 2 inch apart. Bake at 350 Degrees for 7-9 minutes or under edges turn a light golden color. Do not over bake cookies.
Remove from oven. Immediately place 1 Circus Animal Cookie on top of HOT cookies. Pressing down slightly. Allow to cool on cookie sheet for 2-4 minutes before removing rookies and placing on wire rack to cool completely. About 15 minutes.
Hot cookies will melt frosting on Circus Animal Cookies. As the cookies cool, so will the frosting and the Circus Animal will stick to cookie.

Circus Animal Sugar Cookies
Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees
- Add softened butter and white sugar and cream for about 2 minutes until light and fluffy
- Mix in powdered sugar, cream of tartar, and baking soda and mixed until combined
- Add the egg, oil, and vanilla and mix until smooth. You might need to scrape down the sides of the bowl
- Add flour 1 cup at a time and make sure dough is all mixed together
- Stir in Sprinkles
- Scoop cookie dough and place on large cookie sheet about 2 inch apart
