And truthfully, I love to add this Black Bean Corn Salsa Recipe over grilled chicken too. WOW! Try it, it’s delicious.

What’s in Black Bean Salsa?
- 1 Tbs oil
- 1 yellow onion (about ¾ cup diced)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 Can Black Beans Rinsed and Drained
- ½ can of Canned Corn
- ¾ C chopped Tomatoes
- ½ C Mild Picante Sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- ½ Cup Shredded Cheese (I like Jack, or any Mexican Blend)
- ¼ C Chopped fresh Cilantro
- 1 T Fresh Lime Juice (I just use ¼ of lime and squeeze into mixture)
How to make Black Bean Salsa?
- In a skillet over medium/high heat add Oil to a hot pan and add onion and garlic and saute until onions begin to sweat and turn translucent.
- Add Black Beans, Corn, Diced Tomatoes, Picante Sauce, Cumin, Chili Powder and Cilantro
- Lower heat to medium and stir ingredients until all mixed together. Allow to simmer on medium for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Add 1 Tbs Lime Juice and stir
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with cheese
- Serve with Tortilla Chips

Yes! Of course you can. However, fresh is always best when making Black Bean Salsa but Diced Canned tomatoes also work for this recipe.
Adding heat is a personal preference. Adding 1 diced jalapeno pepper with the other fresh ingredients will add plenty of heat.
