Making Instant Pot Hamburgers is a lifesaver. Seriously! Now don't get me wrong, of course I love a good grilled burger. Who doesn't, right?

    Instant Pot Hamburger

We all do, so I'm not attempting to sway you from your favorite flame broiled burger here, but I am going to introduce you to the idea of making Hamburgers in your Instant Pot.

I was skeptical at first. But let me tell you, I'm hooked and let me explain why.

These burgers are moist and full of flavor.

My picky eater is in love so I've made extra patties for the freezer ready for him to thaw and make whenever he wants.

    Instant Pot Potato Salad Recipe

Making Instant Pot Hamburgers means I do not have to sit and watch them cooking on the stove or grill.

You can argue it doesn't take that long and you are correct. But on those busy nights or better yet on those nights that I'm just worn out, this is heaven sent!

    Instant Pot Hamburgers

I love my burgers packed full of flavor. These Instant Pot Hamburgers won't disappoint either with bacon crumbles, onion, garlic, and seasoned salt you will love it.

A true party in your mouth.

I'm ready for spring, but my back yard has about 4 feet of snow still piled up and the grill is a bit buried.

Making Instant Pot Hamburgers is my way to think Happy Thoughts and to melt some of that snow. haha.. I'm serious. Let the BBQ Season Begin!

I'm always asked why do I grate onion in this recipe? Well, it's simple!

Grated onion melts right into the patty with all the flavor an onion can provide. No big chunks for those picky eaters to find and they learn to love flavors without even knowing it. Plus it's just so easy.

Hi Linda, if you do not have a trivet to place the foil packets on, try making 3-4 alumium foil balls and place on the bottom so you can set the hamburger patties on them to keep them up and out of the liquid.

Delicious ! BUT WAY too much seasoning SALT for 1 lb of meat. I used 1 TSP - instead of TBSP. which is the usual for 1 lb of meat. Is 1 TBSP a typo ?

I had a question when it says grated onion. This means fresh onion grated? When it garlic this means fresh garlic and not salt?

What temperature will the burgers be? We like med-medium rare. Would I need to alter the times any?

Hi Janie. These burgers would not have pink in the middle. If you would like some pink, I would suggest cutting the time back. There is a variable on how many burgers you cook at a time or how thick, so it might take a little playing with. Start by cutting the time by 1/3 and adjusting from there.

        Hi Christine,

I freeze hamburger patties individually and seal in foil. If pressure Cooking from frozen I will add a couple of minutes to the time depending on how many patties I am trying to pressure cook. My boys will heat 1 or 2 patties and only add 1-2 minutes extra.

Are the burgers still pink inside? My family won’t eat beef if it even has a bit of pink.

This is a great recipe and so easy to make. I thought making Hamburgers in the Instant Pot was crazy, until I tried them. They are so tasty and I really love how easy it is to clean up. I use lean hamburger and there was a little oil and liquid to drain from the tin foil packet. We top with cheese and avocado when we have it. I season to our liking. My husband enjoys this easy meal.

Thank you for sharing. Two questions:
      1. Are the burgers cooked at HIGH PRESSURE ?
      2. Does the Nutritional Information includes the Fixings, or is it for the burgers alone?

        Hi Lily,
The burgers are cooked at High Pressure. The Nutritional information is auto calculated based on ingredients. Of course depending on what ingredients you add, the amount you add etc would vary the the information.
