I haven’t found a Chex Mix Cereal I didn’t like, and combined with extra snacks, treats, and sweetness a Chex Mix Recipe just turns out perfect every time.

Holiday Chex Mix is known by a number of names. Often called Ooey Gooey Chex Mix because of it’s sweet sugary sauce with coconut and Cashews, it tends to be a Ooey Gooey handful of delicious.
It’s a quick and easy recipe often shared with friends, family or even the neighbors if you end up still having some left to share.

I like to start by lining a cookie sheet with wax paper, just to get it ready. Then I follow the simple instructions to make this Chex Mix Recipe in just minutes.
Try to allow it to cool, if that’s possible. And you can store any extras in an air tight container. It hasn’t actually lasted that long at my house.

Which Chex Mix are Gluten Free?
Yes! Many of the Chex Cereals are Gluten Free. Notice on the boxes marked “Gluten Free”. However, the Rice, Corn, Honey Nut, and other are gluten free.
Why is Chex Mix so Addicting?
We wish we knew! Although this recipe can be made gluten free, it certainly isn’t sugar free and it’s so good you want to eat it all by yourself. But do yourself a favor and share with others. They love it too!

Holiday Chex Mix
Ingredients
- 4 Cups Rice Chex Cereal
- 3 Cups Honey Nut Chex Cereal
- 3 Cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal
- 1 ½ Cups Sweetened Coconut
- 1 ½ Cups Cashews - Whole or pieces
- ¾ Cup Butter
- 1 Cup Corn Syrup
- ½ Cup Sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine Chex Mix Cereal and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal
- Add Coconut and nuts. Toss to combine.
- In a microwave safe bowl, add butter, corn syrup, and sugar. Melt for 3 minutes and stir after each minute. Mixture will be hot and bubbling. Let cool for 1 minute.
- Pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- Spread Chex Mix on a wax paper lined cookie sheet to cool.
- Store in an air tight container (if it lasts that long)
