How to Store Tortilla Chips made in Air Fryer
These chips are best enjoyed right out of the air fryer while still warm, but if you want to make them ahead and store them it's important to wait until the chips have fully cooled before placing in a ZipLoc bag or airtight container. Remove as much air as possible when sealing but don't break or crunch the homemade chips.
Size of Tortilla
There is no preferred size of Tortilla to use. However, I do like the smaller 6-8inch tortillas because when cut into wedges or tortilla triangles they are a nice small dipping size chip to be placed in your mouth in one bite.
Tortillas can be cut with a knife or a pizza cutter. I find the easiest way is to stack a few tortillas on top of each other after I have brushed them with a thin layer of Oil and slice.
Try cutting into wedges or even into strips like fat french fries. Either way is great for dipping.
Types of Tortillas
With a variety of types of tortillas I most prefer using White corn Tortillas. But it really comes down to personal preference.
Flour Tortillas make a wonderful thicker chip. I prefer flour tortilla chips when seasoning with cinnamon as it makes a great dessert chip.
Let's be honest. We love this homemade tortilla chip recipe but we love even more all the great possibilities of what we can dip them into. Of course I have a number of our favorites from homemade Salsa and Pico de Gallo to Queso and even fun appetizers like Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork made in the slow cooker.
