Ingredients needed for Baked Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

This recipe keeps things simple with just a few pantry staples. Here’s what you need:

    • 6 sticks Mozzarella Cheese – Cut in half to make 12 smaller cheese sticks
    • 1 cup Italian Bread Crumbs – For that perfect crispy coating
    • 2 Eggs (beaten) – Helps the breadcrumbs stick to the cheese

Optional: If you don’t have Italian breadcrumbs, simply mix 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning into plain breadcrumbs.

How to Make Baked Mozzarella Sticks

Making these mozzarella sticks is super easy, and they come out perfectly every time! Follow these simple steps:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
    2. Prepare your coating station by beating the eggs in a small bowl and placing the breadcrumbs in another bowl.
    3. Cut the mozzarella sticks in half, so you end up with 12 smaller cheese sticks.
    4. Dip each cheese stick into the beaten egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
    5. Roll in breadcrumbs until fully covered.
    6. Place on a cookie sheet, making sure they are spaced apart.
    7. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
    8. Serve immediately with your favorite marinara sauce and enjoy!

    They are Delicious.

    Serving Ideas

Baked Mozzarella sticks are the ultimate crowd-pleaser! Here are some fun ways to serve them:

    • With Marinara Sauce – The classic pairing for a reason!
    • Dipped in Ranch – A creamy, tangy twist.
    • With Pesto – A fresh and herby alternative.
    • On a Charcuterie Board – Add them alongside meats, cheeses, and crackers for an indulgent snack platter.
    • As a Game Day Appetizer – Serve these at your next watch party and watch them disappear!

How to Store Baked Mozzarella Sticks

If you have leftovers (which is rare because they’re so good!), here’s how to store them:

    • Refrigerator: Place cooled mozzarella sticks in an airtight container and store for up to 3 days.
    • Freezer: For longer storage, freeze them on a baking sheet before transferring them to a freezer bag. They’ll last for up to 3 months.

    To Reheat:

    • Oven: Bake at 375°F for 5-7 minutes until warm and crispy.
    • Air Fryer: Heat at 350°F for 3-4 minutes for an extra crispy finish.
    • Microwave: Not recommended, as they may become soft and chewy instead of crispy.

Tips for the Best Mozzarella Sticks

    • Double Coating: For an extra crispy exterior, dip the sticks in egg and breadcrumbs twice before baking.
    • Chill Before Baking: If you have time, place the coated sticks in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before baking to help prevent cheese from oozing out too soon.
    • Use Panko Breadcrumbs: If you love a little extra crunch, try substituting some of the Italian breadcrumbs with panko.
    • Experiment with Seasonings: Add garlic powder, paprika, or parmesan cheese to your breadcrumbs for even more flavor!

These Baked Mozzarella Sticks are sure to become a favorite in your home! Whether you’re making them for a party or just a fun family snack, they’re an easy, cheesy treat that everyone will love. Try them out and let me know how they turn out in the comments!
