Instant Pot ~ Smart Multi Use Programable Pressure Cooker
I never knew what I was missing until I tried using an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker. WOW! I love the ease and convenience of this small appliance and use it weekly in my dinner meals.
Why Instant Pot?
I was slow to jump on the Instant Pot Bandwagon. I just thought, ‘what can I do in an Instant Pot that I cant do in a crock pot?’ It’s laughable now that I think about it, but at the time, I didn’t want one more gadget in my cupboard taking up space.
I have the 6qt Instant Pot 7 in 1 Duo which means it has a lot of buttons and can do many things. But truly, most everything can be done on Manual mode and you don’t even need to worry about the extra bells and whistles. For starters, make sure you take a look at my post about Instant Pot How To. It will teach you all about how to take it apart and put it back together. A real good idea if you want to jump in this game of pressure cooking.
It’s really easy
Don’t be afraid of using a pressure cooker. Start of with an easy dump type recipe. I recommend trying Mac and Cheese. It’s so fresh and delicious. My son makes this weekly as a perfect snack and it whips up in about 5 minutes.
The Instant Pot can be used to all kinds of recipes from breads, cakes, and desserts, to appetizers, fondue, and of course main course recipes for easy dinner planning.
Honest Feedback
Do I love my Instant Pot? YES, Yes I do! In fact I love it so much it has a permanent home on my counter and is rarely tucked neatly in my cupboard. I love it because it works, it’s easy to use, and it speeds up my cooking time for dinner meals. That’s a win for this mom.
I love to cook chicken in my instant pot. To the point that my ring has been seasons with salt, pepper, garlic and herbs. Fortunately you can purchase multiple rings and swap them out so you don’t have a garlic smell or taste (yuck) when making cakes or desserts.
Instant Pot also has many accessories available too! Sometimes I cook using my glass lid that doesn’t pressure up anything at all but allows the steam to escape, or the silicone egg cups to make perfect omelet cups. The possibilities are endless and Instant Pot has figured out what works best.
I prefer to cook on manual and adjust my time, but there are buttons for almost everything! That’s what’s great about the 7 in 1 Duo Instant Pot. You really can’t go wrong with this Pot.
Size
I love the size of my 6qt and it works perfectly for my family. Most times I cook for 6 people and this size works well for me. However, any larger of a group and I would appreciate the larger size. Of course it also works great when i’m only cooking for 3 too.
