Homemade Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 1 Large Avocado Ripe
  • ¼ Cup Salsa Verde
  • Lime Juice
  • Salt

Instructions

  • Slice and cube avocado and place in bowl
    Use spoon to remove avocado from shell
  • Add ¼ Cup Salsa Verde
    Salsa Verde and cubed avocado in bowl
  • Mix in ½ tsp+ Lime Juice to taste
  • Add Pinch of salt
  • Mash ingredients together leaving it as chunky or smooth as you prefer
  • Allow guacamole to sit in refrigerator for up to 3 hours for flavors to meld together
  • Store covered

Notes

How to store Guacamole and keep it from turning Brown

Step 1 Spread top of Guacamole to form a flat surface
Step 2 Add a thin layer of lemon juice on top to form a barrier
Step 3 Place plastic wrap on the surface of the guacamole to seal and to keep air out
Step 4 Store in refrigerator
Step 5 Remove lemon juice when ready to serve

How to take the Bitterness out of Guacamole

Sometimes ingredients can be bland or produce a bitter taste. An avocado that is not ripe will be bitter. Add ½ teaspoon of sugar per cup of guacamole to reduce the bitter taste. Adjust sugar as needed.
