Total Time: 8hours50minutes
1 1/2CupWarm Water
In a bowl place flour, salt and yeast. Stir so that the yeast and salt are mixed in
Add Warm Water. I tend to use water that is a bit warmer than warm but not steaming hot. You get the idea.
With a spoon, Stir! Stir to combine.
You will have some flour that doesn't mix in, I then use a clean hand and mix everything until all flour is absorbed and I can make a ball out of it. Trust me, it's still sticks to my fingers.
Cover with plastic wrap and then place a towel on top.
Let it rest for 8 hours or over night
In the morning preheat oven to 450 degrees
When oven is hot place Dutch Oven to head for 15 minutes
While Dutch Oven is heating, flour your counter top and dump out dough mixture
Use flour to sprinkle on top, so that you can handle the dough easier. DO NOT KNEAD DOUGH
The dough will be super sticky and super soft and won't hold its shape well at all. This is normal.
Carefully place dough in Hot Dutch Oven and place lid on top.
Place in oven and allow to bake for 30 minutes
Then remove lid and bake an additional 15 minutes
Remove from oven and allow to cool
Slice and eat
I find it's easy mix up this recipe before I go to bed and allow to sit over night or up to 12 hours before baking. Can also be made in the morning and baked before dinner too.Speed up Proofing your Dough! Use a Pressure Cooker or Instant PotUse the Yogurt button on low and a glass lid on top. Now, this dough is super sticky. I mean SUPER Sticky. So take a piece of parchment paper and place flour on it before placing your dough on the parchment paper. Then place into the Pressure Cooker. You can also spay the inside of the liner with cooking spray and place your dough right down inside. Keep in mind with either process the dough is going to stick and you will need a rubber spatula to get it off. Once dough has proofed, place on floured surface so you can handle the dough and follow the baking directions.
