Apple Crisp is a timeless classic dessert that brings you the Best flavors of spices, oats and cooked apples. Using Granny Smith apples you can even get a nice amount of tartness in every bite.
Slice apples into wedges and cut each wedge into 3 or 4 chunks.
Place your apples to the bottom of a pressure cooker.
Add in granulated sugar and cinnamon, and then toss to coat.
Add in the water.
In a separate bowl, combine the crumble ingredients: oats, brown sugar, flour, and spices, mixing to combine.
Take a cold stick of butter and run it over a cheese grater.
Add those butter shavings to the oat mixture with a pastry mixer or a fork to combine the ingredients and make the crumble.
Add the crumble over the top of the apples.
Set your pressure cooker to manual/pressure cook for 1 minute.
Allow for a 1-5-minute natural release. The longer you Natural Pressure Release the Softer the Apples will become.
Open and serve your apple crisp while it’s hot and add a dollop of whipped cream or scoop of ice cream if you choose.
Oven Bake Directions
Follow Directions above except omit ½ cup water
Place apples in a 9x9 square baking dish
Add crumble to top of apples
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until apples reach desired softness
Serve wit Cool Whip, Ice Cream, or Whipping Cream

The longer you Natural Pressure Release, the softer the Apples will becomeLeave Apple Peels on half the apples. This helps them hold their shape and texture. If you remove all the skins, Make sure to do a short NPR or you will have a very soft Apple Crisp.
